The TBR: Part Two

The TBR; Part Tqo.pngAs I mentioned in The TBR; Part One, I’m currently splitting my time between two cities while I’m studying. Right now, I’m home in London where the majority of my books are. Unfortunately, all my favourites are at university, but you can’t have everything, right?

Some of the unread books here have been on my shelf for over two years now, so I really need to get around to reading these. Luckily, there aren’t too many, as I had a clear out at Christmas and sent anything I wasn’t interested in anymore to a charity shop.

It’s been about two and a half weeks since the previous post, and I’ve made quite a bit of progress (10/18) on my TBR. The books I’ve read off The TBR; Part One are (in order):

I unhauled a few books, because I decided I didn’t want to read them anymore (CONSPIRACY, LIGHT YEARS and THE SEVENTH DECIMATE) and so the only books left from my previous TBR are:

  • THE QUEENS OF INNIS LEAR, by Tessa Gratton (slowly slogging through this one)
  • THE MINE ORDER and THE SONG RISING, by Samantha Shannon
  • THE FEVER KING, by Victoria Lee (arrived only hours before I came home, phew!)
  • THE COLD IS IN HER BONES, by Peternelle van Arsdale

I also bought a few more because I clearly (a) have no self-control and (b) reasoned it away as having finished most of my books.

New Releases:

  • THE LOVE & LIES OF RUKSHANA ALI, by Sabrina Khan (first time I typed this out I got the names in the wrong order!)
  • CIRCLE OF SHADOWS, by Evelyn Skye

Backlist Books:

Of these, anything that is a later entry in a series will require a re-read of previous books as I have largely forgotten what happened. In some cases, it’s been three years since I last read the other entries.

  • SMOKE IN THE SUN, by Renee Ahdieh
  • THE GIRL IN THE TOWER, by Katherine Arden (need to find the first book, because I thought it was a standalone until I came to read it…)
  • DREAD NATION, by Justina Ireland
  • THE WALL OF STORMS, by Kevin Liu
  • THE DEVIL’S THIEF, by Lisa Maxwell
  • THE SONG OF ACHILLES, by Madeline Miller
  • THIS LIE WILL KILL YOU, by Chelsea Pitcher
  • IMMORTAL REIGN, by Morgan Rhodes

I have stayed clear of requesting new eARCs so that I don’t get swamped.

Here’s hoping I can at least make some sort of dent on this list! What books are you hoping to read soon?
